Sunday Afternooner: APIARY Staff Reading & Audience-Participation Junk/Treasure Auction

Apiary is an absolutely wonderful magazine (poetry and prose) devoted exclusively to Philadelphia writers and it is FREE. It can be read online at: http://apiarymagazine.com/read/apiary-online/

Some of the staff have read at the Salon and been featured readers.

Sunday, Oct 26, tomorrow, great readings from Apiary staff, below taken from fb posting:

Make merry with us, support Philly lit, AND empty your attic at our very first all-APIARY Staff Reading & Audience Auction. Bring a small item from your house you’re ready to donate — weird ceramic frog your grandma got you? Yanni CD? Margarita mix someone left after a party? — and we’ll auction it off on the spot, using the powers of poetic transformation and improv to find it a new buyer in the audience. And you might just walk away with a $5 Rembrandt (or a weird ceramic frog someone’s grandma got them). All proceeds go to our 5th anniversary Indiegogo campaign (and the leftovers will be donated). The sillier, the better, so bring it on.

AND: Poetry and fiction from Steve Burns, Warren Longmire, Mai Schwartz, Hannah McDonald, Tamara Oakman, Kareem Groomes and Lillian Dunn.

You can also get an exclusive sneak peek at the pure-fabulousnessapiarymagazine.com website revamp for which we’re raising funds!
