PHILADELPHIA: The Erotic Literary Salon, unique in the English-speaking world has launched a growing movement mainstreaming erotica. Salons attract a supportive audience of 40 or more individuals. Approximately half participate as writers, readers, storytellers, spoken word performers of original works/words of others, the rest just come to listen, enjoy and applaud. Lily, our resident nonagenarian (93 years young) often recites her original erotica.

The next Salon will be held Tuesday, May 18th. Part of the evening will feature Philadelphia author Kimberly Gardner who will read from her just released second novel, Bound To Please. Ms. Gardner is a writer of gay erotic romance and a life-long Philadelphia resident who features the city and surrounding areas in all her fiction. Her first novel Phoenix Rising and Bound To Please, are both available from MLR Press. Her work also appears in several anthologies such as Ties That Bind, Hot Comfort and Red. You can find out more about Ms. Gardner and her work at: blog/website: www.kimberlygardner.com

Salons gather the 3rd Tuesday of every month at TIME (The Bohemian Absinthe Lounge), 1315 Sansom Street, Center City, Philadelphia. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. (limited seating), for cocktails, food and conversation. The event begins promptly at 8:00 p.m. Admission is $10, discounted for students and seniors (65+) – $8.
