The Erotic Literary Salon – last Tuesday

Sometimes it takes me a few days to come down from the adrenalin rush I receive from hosting the Salon. My perspective changes and I feel a bit more objective.

The Poetic-Tantra read was fabulous, extremely different than anything presented previously at the Salon. Asttarte’s gorgeous voice illuminated the air with her chanting, combined with Deborah Morkun’s poetry created just a fabulous blending of other worldliness.

I must admit as I looked around the room when Asttarte was orchestrating a Tantric orgasm I realized the comfort zone of the audience would not allow them to do this in public. I had a feeling that would occur, but I also wanted to expose the attendees to this type of work even if they did not wish to participate.

I knew it wasn’t appropriate and hopefully no one got turned off. Perhaps I should have just had Asttarte create it more as a presentation, but then again maybe I did miss a few folks that were able to create this feeling in public.

No one came up afterwards and said anything negative, so I’ll take that as a good sign. Actually quite a few attendees remarked that they enjoyed the evening and several new folks said they would definitely return and spread the work. That is most appreciated.
