The Erotic Literary Salon will be held Tuesday, May 15. IJ Miller will be reading a short story called “Cell,” which is part of his collection Sex and Love, Fanny Press publishers. It also appeared in the anthology, “Sex in the City/NY.” Sex and Love is both engaging and provocative…seductive and dramatic…witty and unflinching honest look at sexual desire.

Frances, our resident nonagenarian (95 years young) often recites her original erotica.

 

Salons gather the 3rd Tuesday of every month at TIME (The Bohemian Absinthe Lounge), 1315 Sansom Street, Center City, Philadelphia. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. (limited seating), for cocktails, food and conversation. The event begins promptly at 8:00 p.m. Admission is $10, discounted for students, and seniors (65+) to $8. Salon attendees must be 21.

 

Creator of this event, Dr. Susana, is Philadelphia’s best-known sexologist. She lends her voice to the Salon by offering relevant information to support the discussions that arise in the Salon/blog.

The Erotic Literary Salon will be held Tuesday, Feb. 21. Local performance artists Monica Day will be the featured reader for February’s Valentine-themed Salon. Irene will perform in a dance style known as American Tribal Style or ATS Belly dance. It is a nontraditional form of belly dance, created in San Francisco in the 1980’s. Steps are influenced by folkloric as well as traditional belly dance, with a lot of Flamenco stylizations.
