Here is your opportunity to be part of an anthology edited by three well known erotica writers.
Written On Skin: An Anthology of Etched Desire | Call for Submissions
Editors: Remittance Girl, Aisling Weaver, and Raziel Moore
Publisher: Burning Book Press
Deadline: June 21, 2013
Payment & Rights: $25 payable via paypal; exclusive digital rights for 4 years.
Burning Book Press is seeking short fiction submissions for an erotic literature anthology.
What we’d like to see:
Stories that contain body modification as a central element in the story (tattoos, branding, scarification, piercing, etc. but not plastic surgery or body-building). We’ll consider incidental scars only if they attain specific erotic meaning as part of the story.
This is primarily an erotic fiction anthology, so we do want a large helping of sexual desire in the mix, but explicit sex is not absolutely necessary if the eroticism is successfully conveyed through the process or the contemplation of some type of body modification. That being said, the aim of the anthology is to invite the reader to contemplate the eroticism of the subject. Stories of extreme body modification that fail to offer the non-fetishist some insight into the allure of it are less likely to be considered.
We’re looking for exceptional writing: strong characters, a compelling plot, powerful imagery and realism. However, the stories can contain elements of speculative fiction, sci-fi, mystery or any other genre so long as the erotic plays a fundamental role.
We believe that well written sexuality has no boundaries; we are looking for stories with any sexual orientation and all genders. Similarly, we are an equal opportunity publisher; we accept submissions from authors of any genders. The two limitations we have for this anthology are as follows: no underage characters who engage sexually with adults and no snuff.
